Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of BulkCertPDF at bulkcertpdf.com (the "Service"). By using the Service or buying a plan, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What the Service does
BulkCertPDF turns a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV) into certificates you can download as PDF, PNG or a ZIP archive. All processing happens inside your web browser. Your spreadsheet, logo and certificate content are not uploaded to our servers.
2. Free preview and paid plans
- Free preview: you can design and download individual certificates with a watermark.
- Batch Pass: a one-off payment that removes the watermark and unlocks bulk export for 7 days from purchase, intended for up to 500 certificates.
- Pro: a monthly subscription that removes the watermark and unlocks bulk export while the subscription is active. You can cancel at any time, and access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
Prices are shown at checkout. We may change prices for future purchases, but a change will not affect a pass or billing period you've already paid for.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, which also handles sales tax and VAT, invoices and receipts. When you pay, Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms also apply. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, using the link in your receipt email or the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.
4. License keys
Each purchase comes with a license key, sent with your receipt. The key lets you unlock the Service in a limited number of browsers (3 for a Batch Pass, 5 for Pro). Keys are for you or your organisation only. Please don't share, resell or publish them. We may disable a key that is shared publicly, refunded or charged back.
5. Your content and responsibilities
- You keep all rights to the data, names, logos and text you put into the Service. Because processing happens in your browser, we never receive that content.
- You're responsible for having the right to use the personal information in your spreadsheet, and for complying with applicable data protection laws, such as POPIA or GDPR, when you do.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the certificates you issue, and for having the authority to issue them. You must not use the Service to create fraudulent, misleading or counterfeit credentials, or to imitate an organisation you don't represent.
- The QR code and link shown on certificates are a decorative design element. BulkCertPDF does not currently provide an online verification service for issued certificates.
6. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to bypass the watermark or licensing, interfere with the Service, or use it for anything unlawful.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service while you have an active paid pass or subscription, we will refund the unused portion.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, BulkCertPDF is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded, including the South African Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
